So I can say, "switch to the designated empty com port" with a keystroke, run AOL, copy and paste back to Citadel. With Citadel constantly accessing the port, I have to close Cit, get my text, save it, then wait until I'm through with my AOL or other online session, then do my message entry to Cit. add "rejected" type to netting (new, dup, exp) Brent: before you'd said you didn't understand what the keyword #ANSWER would accomplish. Instead of having a complex initialization string, Citadel should be able to have keywords to define common things that people put in their initialization strings. For instance, we usually have answer rings set to 255, so that Citadel will never answer the phone (it is anyways, but it's probably not Cit's fault). Some people turn off compression. I think you get the idea. Make keywords in config.cit that ADD to the initialization string when initializing the port, so that for most common tasks, new sysops don't have to translate AT commands. !cfg.really_fucking_stupid: F4, F6, @, exit: cursor appears timeout in F4 getcontextsensitive string: file name to transfer .qd internal #include in scripts .kg: boolean poopuser killed... 3-25-90 The trap file now indicates, along with "XXX messages entered" how many of them were exclusive and how many were group only. 3-19-90 Fixed the bug of private mail that was network bound, but deleted, but was sent anyways. It is no longer netted. 6-12-90 When entering a new hall, rooms that have e-mail for the user in them are now displayed. ----------talleyInfo away from void *, to undefined class/struct * # 55,449 of 55,538 Source id # is: 103,381 Path followed: sfa.olm!ccb!lok.sea!Blind Man's Bluff!tat Source software: Gremlin's Citadel/064.2 94Apr07 11:38:54 From Captain James T Kirk @ Starfleet Academy, Olympia {used to be goodbye blue sky,}, Thurston, WA {but not anymore...}, USA, (206)491-9605 suggestion: the ability to tag a bunch of rooms and then either kill them all, or move them... suggestion III: the ability to set something in INPUT.APL which would make gremcit do a NEt6_9 incorporation after it finished the current event. so i could have Gremcit shell out and run my Keyserver, and it would stick something in INPUT.APL which caused gremcit to incorportate it's NET6_9 packet. currently i have to use 2 different events...so the incorporation can be hours after keyserve was run... suggestion IV: AVATAR support... or, even better, completely configurable emulation... just another .CIT file with an entry for each emulation you want to support. ie. #EMM_NAME "AVATAR" #RED "[avatar code for red goes here]" #GREEN "[etc...]" since citadel doesn't make any use of any of the cursor positioning commands, this would be really easy to set up... suggestion VI: the ability to re-direct netmail addressed to a certain account to a file... (in citadel message format...)... so i could have an account called "Keyserve" on SFA here. then people could just mail "Keyserve @ Starfleet Academy" to get to the keyserver... suggestion VIII: Show free XMS on the status screen. currently it shows free comventional ram, and used XMS...a little strange, no? suggestion IX: Show the number of new messages after the "Networked with [nodename]" string on the status screen... the old DragCit status screen had this... suggestion XI: Improve the loging of sysop commands to the Trap file... currently, when someone edits someone elses account and changes the username, only the new username gets saved to the trapfile. so how is one suposed to know what the account used to be called? and generally just write more to the trap file. suggestion XII: multiple user sigs... just save um to the Log extention files... suggestion XIII: give us a way to read the * field... list it in the verbose header or something... granted, it's not currently used, but it would be kinda nice to see what was in it when it does get used. .s!: if forced .s@, changes dir .shn, .she trap "file not found" (.blb, etc.) #BULLETIN menu from room prompt queued downloads: recognize bi-directional uploads 94Jan11 17:47:39 From Jimmy the Grek @ Amber, (206) 781-2093 input.apl 200 name to save the message under 202 group to save message under 203 room to save message in none of which appears to work as far as i can tell if anyone cares resize group file internal protocol status using citWindows option sysop config by user amount of idle time if nmessages is too low. netting will hose out. linked cron events put last call time in .RC circular message table .read censored .read networked .read group only etc.. add internal cofiguration menu startup/shutdown/chat tune you are here classic unixtime no. of seconds since 1970 in MCI cit should not crash if there is no dictionary file. - better checking in general option to print word count after saving message check hard drive space when resizing message/log file .AE: if 'W', turn on shared Entry cmd: Upload -- just set %f=something, append it .S!, .S@: close print file (ALT+P) if open #HOURS/#DAYS should be bitfields (netting) INT 2Fh call while idle (for Windows, OS/2, power mgmt, etc) Use only one function for displaying the message header hang up - ask for file descriptions #trap_file "bogus" - bad .read byattribute (twit...) messages exclude halls (.exh? .xh?) verify all APL stuff - IBMGRAPH especially MCI codes to cls, pause between messages apl_realname border screensaver password protected room applications password protected rooms * 06/13/91 BLJ Added .z command (Off-line reader) stickyrms group-only border stuff .r& broken? .ee to many people full-screen editor f4 mono/color poop .fu: remote #NEWUSERQUESTIONS FINGER rcr - working? user-config .R[KEP...] update time #SHOW0RVS stupid thing for frug off-hook on app: new flag? &?
