Example ABC-style DataMatrix barcode.
ABC-style means the encoded data is in the format of XX0001234567.
XX is the prefix and tells the system where in the order it goes. 0001234567 is a max ten-digit order tracking number.
There are some difficulties with the current system (as of 01/03/2011) using tracking numbers with more than seven digits. These problems are:
- Barcode generation fails, leaving a missing image indicator or blank space where the code should be.
- Some parts of ProEntry allow entry of 7+ digits (order entry, tracking number search).
- Some parts of ProEntry do not allow entry of 7+ digits (attach files).
